Cave Stream

I have to admit, had I known what this was like before-hand, I probably wouldn't have ventured in with mum & dad. However, named as the "Mhairi Challenge #1", the parents successfully tackled this first adventure thrown at them. Within 30 seconds of entering the cave we were waist-deep in pretty cold water, without much light coming from our pitiful head torches. After changing the batteries and braving the initial temperature shock inside the cave, it actually got much easier from then on.

There were a few challenging spots clambering over rocks against the flowing current, but all in all it was quite good fun. I think we all prefer the outdoor adventures, but it was definitely something different, and an interesting experience for mum & dad to start our trip off. Good effort to them both!
