War Remnants Museum
Spent a fascinating afternoon at the War Remnants Museum. Despite reading about it, hearing it was pretty graphic, and knowing how disgraceful the Tuol Sleng Museum in Cambodia seemed, I was still really shocked. Came out feeling totally disgusted with what humans are capable of doing, and even worse, have actually done to other human beings.
The photojournalists exhibit with the images of history was extremely touching - a large collection of photographs, magazine excerpts and epilogues...in memory of the men and women who "conquered death through their immortal photographs".
The U.S. withdrew its last armed unit from Saigon in March 1973, having spent 352 billion US dollars during the Vietnam War.
I really don't know how to describe the emotions this museum provokes, but it's definitely worth a visit for a different perspective on the Vietnam War.
