The Bach Bash

Here's the full story...!

We arrived on Saturday afternoon, and joined in with the different activities going on. New forms of juggling were attempted, and I had my first try at Diablo, without much success. The firepoi was really impressive to watch, and the attempt at Strip the Willow was certainly a great laugh, although if anyone could have recognized the dance it would have been impressive. Arm wrestling, sock wrestling, and potato gun shooting were also included. On Sunday (late morning) I had a run around the bays which was superb – great views all around. The small church was really sweet, and we were really impressed by the mussel collection. Some were cooked on the barbeque which tasted great, and Patrick + I took about 40 with us (some for Gav & Leask). Following Chef Leask’s instructions, we cooked them in white wine, garlic & onions, and they turned out really well although I say so myself. All in all, a nice relaxed weekend.

The overview...

A very relaxed weekend at Tim's bach in Little Akaloa, with lots of fun games & activities in addition to a good barbeque and one or two beverages. Juggling, Diablo, poi, twister, mussel-collecting, sock-wrestling, and even some Scottish country dancing (well, a good attempt at Strip the Willow).
