Summer County Tennis

Division 5, West Worthing, with the following team - me, Liana Park, Aileen Davis, Sarah McFadyen, Alison Reid, Sonia Vickers, Leigh Kasperek and Jo Stevenson (Wed/Thurs only). It was a fun week, despite narrowly missing out on promotion (by essentially one set on the 1st day!) 3 matches a day for 5 days is a lot of tennis, but it was nice to be on the grass (almost all week) and felt like I was playing pretty well most of the time! Team results as follows:

Day 1 - lost to Norfolk 5-4 (played with Liana, won 2)
Day 2 - Beat North of Scotland 8-1 (played with Aileen, won 3)
Day 3 - lost to Nottinghamshire 6-3 (played with Aileen, won 3)
Day 4 - Beat Somerset 8-1 (played with Sarah, won 3)
Day 5 - Beat Shropshire 5-1 (played with Leigh, won 2)

Touch Rugby

I started playing touch rugby this year & I totally love it... the team are a great laugh (Sylvia introduced me to them), and happen to be pretty good as well! Gunn Runners, sponsored by Innes & Gunn beer (!) - matches are on Wednesday nights which I've made most of this year, and practices on a Monday, which I've only made a few of due to coaching commitments but have really enjoyed. We ended up winning the Intermediate 1 league (in a very close final game, Kenny scored in the last 20 seconds for us to win!)...

...then had a brilliant charity tournament on Sat 19th - all teams dressing up to a theme. We were the Michael Jackson tribute team (All Blacks & Whites), and got to the semi-finals... Jo & Steve looked WAY too good at the moves - they'd either been practicing far too much, or have missed their calling in life ;)

Nae Limits + Bridge of Orchy hills

I had some vouchers for NAE LIMITS - an adventure company based in Ballinluig (near Pitlochry) - so I chose white-water rafting & canyoning, and managed to convince Richard to come with me! They were both brilliant fun, especially the canyoning in Bruar Falls...I'd definitely recommend it!

We had a great day hiking near Bridge of Orchy with Jo & Steve aswell - just west of Loch Tulla, climbing Stob a'Choire Odhair & Stob Ghabhar -the weather was fantastic, we even had a swim on the way back!
